It’s holiday season in Destiny, a video game in which players travel through space trying to get at least one exotic drop before they die. That means it’s time for The Dawning, an annual event devoted to sleighs and snow. Last year’s Dawning was full of Grinchy loot boxes, but this year’s is stuffed with holiday cheer.
It feels like Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic shooter has already been out for a while, especially since its early access-style beta began all the way back in October, but Fallout 76 officially launched just one month ago. And what a long month it’s been, filled with release-build bugs, post-launch updates, and a big…
The season of overindulgence is almost upon us, and Overcooked 2 is celebrating with “Kevin’s Christmas Cracker,” a festive, and free, bundle of new content. The update includes three fresh recipes (Christmas pudding, mince pies, and hot chocolate), new kitchens, an endless Practice Mode, and more! You can check out a trailer for the very merry update, below.
Here’s the full feature rundown:
New kitchens! Expect plenty of Christmas chaos in the five kitchens in Kevin’s cracker. The snow is falling all around but if you can’t stand the cold, don’t set fire to the kitchen.
New recipes! Who doesn’t love getting stuffed at Christmas? With Kevin’s Christmas Cracker you have a choice of three new recipes to rustle up! Christmas pudding, mince pies and indulgent hot chocolate are on the menu (don’t forget the whipped cream and marshmallows!)
New chefs! Taking a break from making toys, Elf has decided to try his hand at cooking up some festive food. Also, making a merry return is Snowchef, just don’t mistake their carrot nose for an ingredient!
Practice mode! This new mode allows chefs to get to grips with Overcooked 2 without the usual pressures of the kitchen. In practice mode the timer counts up, allowing you to cook to your heart’s content and there’s even an option to turn it off all together. Fancy an even more relaxed kitchen? You can turn off scores AND order expirations.
If you haven’t sampled Overcooked 2 yet, well, you need to get on that. I found it to be a delicious sequel in my full review…
“Overcooked 2 mostly sticks to a winning recipe. The clarity and simplicity of the first game has been muddled a bit, but the addition of online play makes up for a lot. If you’re new to this series, I suggest you check out the near-perfect original Overcooked to start, but if you’re an existing fan hungry for more, Overcooked 2 is a tasty second helping.”
Overcooked 2 is available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
