Where to find Darth Vader in Fortnite x Star Wars event

Fortnite Darth Vader

During Fortnite's Star Wars event, you'll find armies of Stormtroopers in Imperial Roadblock camps, powerful mythic-grade weapons to give you an edge in battle, and Darth Vader as a formidable boss in a far-off area.

Finding and fighting Darth Vader is challenging, but the reward is worth it if you want to try out a cool new weapon.

Darth Vader location in Fortnite x Star Wars event

You'll find Darth Vader in an Imperial Roadblock directly north of Lavish Lair. Alongside several Stormtroopers, you'll see Darth Vader roaming around the camp, ready to fight any incoming threats. The best time to visit this location is at the beginning of a match, as it typically gets swept up in the storm quickly.

Fortunately, the camp has several chests to open, which typically hold E-11 Blasters and Wookiee Bowcaster guns that'll help you during your battle against Darth Vader. You'll also spot regular weapons around the island and a few treasure chests for extra loot. Make sure to prepare for the fight before targeting Darth Vader, as he has a few tricks up his sleeve that can catch you off guard.

More specifically, Darth Vader has several attacks he'll use with his Lightsaber. In addition to standard melee attacks, he can pull you toward him and launch a series of attacks or throw his Lightsaber at you if you're out of melee range. Stormtroopers and other players can also interrupt the fight, so watch your surroundings as you whittle down his health.

How to use Darth Vader's Lightsaber

Once you defeat Darth Vader in battle, you'll get his Lightsaber with the same abilities he used during battle. Your regular attack button will launch a series of combo attacks while holding your aim sights button lets you block any incoming attacks. If you're holding down your block button, you can attack by throwing the Lightsaber, allowing you to hit players or NPCs out of melee range, much like Darth Vader did during your initial battle.

The Office Follow-Up Series Is Going Straight To Peacock

Earlier this year, Greg Daniels, the man who developed the American version of The Office, revealed that he was planning a new follow-up series for the hit comedy. Now, Peacock has officially ordered The Office follow-up series, and set production to begin this summer.

Daniels co-created the new show with Michael Koman, who previously co-created Nathan For You. The duo cast Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore in the leading roles in April. While details about their characters have yet to be revealed, the connecting thread between this show and the original series will be the documentary crew that followed Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton employees for over a decade. The crew will reunite to chronicle the story of "a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters."

"It's been more than ten years since the final episode of The Office aired on NBC, and the acclaimed comedy series continues to gain popularity and build new generations of fans on Peacock," NBCUniversal Entertainment President Lisa Katz in a statement. "In partnership with Universal Television and led by the creative team of Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, this new series set in the universe of Dunder Mifflin introduces a new cast of characters in a fresh setting ripe for comedic storytelling: a daily newspaper."

Prime Video's Ads Will Soon Be Harder To Avoid And More Intrusive

Amazon has announced that Prime Video's ads are getting more intrusive. In a blog post (via The Verge), Amazon announced an "expanded suite" of ad formats with the aim of pushing you to buy stuff and to help Amazon make more money.

Amazon said Prime Video will soon have "shoppable carousel ads" on TV shows and movies. This will display a sliding lineup of products that viewers can quickly add to their Amazon cart. Upon interacting with it, this ad will pause to allow users to browse through it. Whenever the viewer stops interacting with the ad, the programming will continue.

The next type of ad is what's called an "interactive pause ad." This means when you pause a TV show, movie, or live sport on Prime Video, an ad may pop up, along with options for "Add to Cart" and "Learn More." Viewers can resume their TV show or movie whenever they want.

How to get a Lightsaber in Fortnite x Star Wars event

Fortnite Lightsaber

Fortnite's Star Wars event introduces several new quests, characters, and items for you to get your hands on. The lightsaber, in particular, is one of the most famous weapons to exist, and you can obtain one in both Fortnite's Battle Royale mode and in LEGO Fortnite.

Where to find Darth Vader's Lightsaber in the Fortnite x Star Wars event

During Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2, finding a lightsaber requires defeating Darth Vader, whom you can find north of Lavish Lair. After traveling to the island north of Lavish Lair, you'll spot an Imperial Roadblock, with Darth Vader and several Stormtroopers defending the area. Defeat Darth Vader during battle to get a lightsaber alongside other goodies to help you during the rest of the round.

Darth Vader is considered a boss character in Fortnite, making him more challenging to defeat than standard enemies. Nonetheless, as long as you avoid his attacks, inflict some damage in return, and don't get interrupted by other players, you can quickly beat him without many issues.

How to get a Lightsaber in LEGO Fortnite

Getting a lightsaber in LEGO Fortnite is a much more challenging process than in Fortnite's Battle Royale mode, as it requires you to find a Rebel Outpost and upgrade it to level six. Once you reach this upgrade, you'll find a village objective asking you to explore your first empire bunker, prompting Captain Bravara to give you code clearance and a lightsaber to help you on your journey.

If you're unfamiliar with the Star Wars event's Rebel Outpost, you'll have to follow a few steps before finding it:

  1. Wait for a large blue rift to appear in your LEGO Fortnite world.
  2. Speak to Captain Bravara after witnessing the Imperial Star Destroyer crash landing.
  3. Use your macrobinoculars to find the Rebel cave, which is shown with a blue symbol.
  4. Travel through the cave before using the macrobinoculars again to find the Rebel Outpost.

Once you arrive at the Rebel Outpost, you'll complete a series of objectives to upgrade it. Like a regular village, you'll also need to build structures like the Rebel Workbench and collect resources to level up the Outpost, so prepare for some farming.

After leveling the Rebel Outpost to level six, speak to Captain Bravara to get your lightsaber. This will allow you to enter Imperial bunkers, defeat Stormtrooper enemies, and collect more rewards, including additional lightsabers.
