33 Immortals Gameplay Trailer Reveals Lucifer, the Game’s First Boss

Announced at last year’s Xbox Games Showcase, Thunder Lotus’ 33-player co-op action roguelike 33 Immortals has looked like an exciting prospect each time it has been shown off, and during the recent ID@Xbox showcase, the developer offered another glimpse at the upcoming action game.

A new gameplay trailer shines a spotlight on Lucifer, which is the first boss that players will encounter in 33 Immortals. Found in Inferno, which is the game’s first area, the massive, demonic, three-headed entity comes with a weak spot to target on his heart, but also boasts plenty of devastating attacks of his own, which means players are going to have to work together well to defeat him.

Check out the trailer below for more details on lucifer, and for additional glimpses of gameplay from the upcoming co-op action game.

33 Immortals is set to launch in early access for Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime this year, and will also be available via Game Pass. A closed beta of the game will also be available from May 24 to June 2.

Control 2 Is Still A Ways Off, But Spin-Off Codename Condor Is Getting Closer

Alan Wake 2 only came out a few months ago, but it seems that developer Remedy Entertainment's next game is in the final stages of development. However, if you were hoping it'd be Control 2, we've got bad news--that one's probably more than a year off, if not more.

A recent financial report from Remedy stated that Control spin-off Codename Condor is in "full production," which the company defines as "the final development stage before a game is launched." It also states that "wide internal playtests" have found the core loop of the project to be "engaging" and that it "brings a unique Remedy angle to the genre." Remedy's own site calls Condor a multiplayer spin-off of Control, but other details are thin on the ground.

The report further notes that Control 2 (formerly known as Heron) is late in the proof-of-concept stage, while the Max Payne 1 & 2 remake announced in 2022 is in what Remedy calls the "production readiness" stage, with that project moving into full production in the second quarter of 2024. No release dates for any of these projects are mentioned.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Live Concert Tour Coming This Fall

Daniel Pemberton's energetic score for 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse led to a national concert tour for the film. Pemberton also returned for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which currently has a concert tour in the United Kingdom. However, fans in the US won't be left out. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Pemberton has revealed that the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Live in Concert tour is launching its American run this fall.

"I always thought it’d be impossible to do live, because they jump between so many different ideas and genres," Pemberton told THR. "But a long time ago, I did a couple of cues at a one-off film music festival, and I was really surprised at how effective it worked. So that got my brain thinking about trying to do the whole film live, and we did a couple of tests that went down phenomenally."

Pemberton noted that he won't be on hand for every appearance in the concert tour's 50-plus dates in the United States. But he will try to be present for at least a few.

Razer made a million dollars selling a mask with RGB, and the FTC is not pleased

Razer will have to fork over $1.1 million in refunds to customers who purchased its RGB-clad Zephyr face mask, according to a proposed settlement announced by the Federal Trade Commission on Monday. The company claimed the face mask used N95-grade filters, but the FTC alleges Razer never submitted them for testing and only “stopped the false advertising following negative press coverage and consumer outrage at the deceptive claims.”

Razer first released its Zephyr face mask in 2021 as a nifty, cyberpunk-esque alternative to traditional face masks worn during the covid-19 pandemic. Although Razer initially marketed the $100 mask as having N95-grade filters, it scrubbed any mention of the grade after YouTuber Naomi Wu tore down the mask...
