Bungie Is Listening As Marathon Players Push For Solo Play And Better Scheduling In Cryo Archive

Two weeks after launch, Marathon's pinnacle activity Cryo Archive went live on March 20. The new endgame activity has been well-received so far, but with its strict entry requirements, many players aren't quite ready for the intricate mode just yet. Naturally, this has led to some player feedback, and Bungie says it's listening to fans about how Cryo Archive can be improved.

"Congratulations to all the runners who’ve been battling it out in the floating death fridge we call Cryo Archive," game director Joe Ziegler wrote online. "We've been watching and ingesting all the thoughts and feedback that we're hearing, aggregating it and taking it down in notes. After this weekend, we’ll spend some time looking into feedback and thinking of the next iterations we want to make."

Ziegler added that any improvements will take some time time implement, and Bungie is looking at the mode's scheduling--it's only open on weekends--and if it'll be possible to play solo. The studio also wants to examine if Subroutines can be a guaranteed drop in the future.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC Potentially Teased as Celebratory Art Hints at New Region and Character

You wouldn’t believe that Dragon’s Dogma 2 launched in 2024 if Capcom hadn’t released second anniversary artwork for the same. Despite receiving extensive acclaim from critics, the fan reception was mixed due to performance issues, missing features, microtransactions, and much more. However, those hoping for DLC may finally see their wishes coming true.

Within that same celebratory artwork, Twitter user Alvaro has discovered what seems to be a new character, just hanging out in the background. The fantastically named Chainsaw McFacepunch also translated the note on the table, which apparently says “Sightings of griffins flying in from the northern region of Organ have been confirmed.”

Organ isn’t present in the base game, which could mean it’s a new location that players have never visited. Perhaps this new character is involved in this potential griffin crisis. Time will tell, but considering how Capcom seemingly teased Resident Evil Requiem’s announcement in a celebratory video for Resident Evil 4 Remake, anything is possible.

Whatever the case may be, it won’t involve Hideaki Itsuno, the series’ creator, who has moved on to LightSpeed Japan Studio under Tencent and is working on a new action game. Of course, it’s worth noting that Dark Arisen, the first game’s DLC, was directed by Kento Kinoshita, who went on to helm Resident Evil Village’s Shadows of Rose DLC.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is currently available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It’s sold over four million copies as of November 2025.

Your citizens don't stay put in Stellaris-style 4X strategy game Final Vanguard - start a war and "entire waves of refugees can emerge"

Final Vanguard is a real-time sci-fi 4X grand strategy game that puts an unusually big emphasis on migration. We've seen migration mechanics in many 4X games – pops can shuffle about in Stellaris as you slop your colonies across the map, populating the periphery and slowing the development of your homeworld – but Final Vanguard's creators Heavy Pepper Inc want the feature to be central.

It's part of an ambition "to model a civilization made up of interconnected systems that influence one another over time", with everything from fleet manoeuvres to industry forming part of "a network of dependencies", rather than treating planets as isolated upgradeable nodes.
