Fallout Is Already Prime Video's Second Most-Watched Show Ever and Its Biggest Series Since Rings of Power

It's official: Fallout is a hit for Prime Video. The streamer revealed that the television adaptation topped 65 million viewers in first 16 days, making it the second most-watched title ever on the service and the biggest since Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Prime Video shared the relevant stats in an official release, claiming among other things that it's the most-watched show among adults age 18-34 on the service. Its numbers have already propelled it to the top of Prime Video's charts, topping even popular mainstays like The Boys.

Fallout debuted to strong reviews and more than a little controversy over the timeline in early April. Season 2 has already been confirmed, and we already know a bit about where it will be set and what iconic monster will be making its debut.

In the meantime, Fallout's viewership seemingly adds fuel to the growing sentiment within Hollywood that video games are the new superheroes. Last year, The Last of Us was a big hit for HBO, and Nintendo found huge success at the box office with Super Mario Bros. Numerous other video game adaptations are now in the works, from Borderlands to God of War. Even Knuckles has his own show now (though some fans are at odds with how little the echidna actually appears).

For more, check out our full interview with Todd Howard and Jonathan Nolan, who answer all of our burning questions about the Fallout TV series and more.

InZoi, Upcoming The Sims Competitor, Shares Dev Roadmap And Stunning Character Creator

Krafton, the studio behind PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, has revealed a development roadmap and several key features for its upcoming life simulation game InZoi. Though the roadmap does not state when InZoi is scheduled to launch, it does offer a closer look at all the next-level features the The Sims competitor is bringing to the table.

Among the key features shared in the roadmap are cars, group activities, a Karma system, a City Edit mode, and the Studio. According to the video's accompanying press release, Zois--the name for the game's human-like characters--will be able to both drive and ride in cars, with both first- and third-person camera angles available. The video featured a look at some of the flashy vehicles Zois will be able to purchase, as well as what happens when a Zoi decides to run in front of one.

Moving on to something a bit more light-hearted, the developers offered a bit more insight into the game's group activities and relationship mechanics. Based on the video, it seems as if relationships will play out quite similarly to The Sims, with characters able to become friends, love interests, and enemies of other Zois. However, InZoi does implement a unique mechanic with its Karma system, in which a Zoi's past actions influence how their futures pans out and how other Zois treat them.

Jackbox is about to get a little freaky with Jackbox Naughty Pack

Jackbox Naughty Pack

Jackbox Games revealed the next chapter of Jackbox during the 2024 ID@Xbox Showcase would also be the developer's first M-rated title: Jackbox Naughty Pack. The intimate pack of three games is due to be released this year and marks Jackbox's first foray into the world of mature gaming with three provocative games designed specifically for adult players.

What's in the box?

According to Jackbox, an overwhelming number of fans have indicated in customer feedback surveys that they want an adult-theme Jackbox Party Pack, which is just what the team is doing with Jackbox Naughty Pack. The three adult-themed games will still deliver on the promise of making you laugh, while also adding a more risque style of entertainment than is present in the previous iterations of the Party Pack.

Previous Jackbox titles only require one person to own the game while others can access the party-style gameplay using their own at-home devices such as phones, tablets, laptops, and PCs as long as they have an internet connection. This makes me ponder two questions immediately: Who's going to create a Jackbox Naughty Pack lobby and invite their friends, and what sort of devices are compatible with this pack? Actually, I'm not sure I want to know.

Jackbox Naughty Pack is set to release later this year, and the team plans to reveal more information about its three adult-only titles throughout the summer.
