Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 team reminds you it's got another Kingdom Come and a Middle-earth game on the way as it tops 6,000,000 sales

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, PC Gamer's 2025 game of the year and absolute all-timer, has hit the 6 million copies sold landmark. If you recall, this is the game that implemented a shoe-stealing system because of a PC Gamer article. So, if you think about it, it's almost like we've reached 6 million copies sold, right? Congratulations to us (this is a joke).

For reference, the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance took six years to reach this milestone, while Henry's second outing has managed it in about a year and a half. It's no surprise: KCD2 is, in many ways, KCD1 with more spit and polish (but with just as much obsessive attention to detail and humour).

"None of this would have been possible without the passion and support of the ever-growing Kingdom Come: Deliverance community," said publisher Deep Silver. "From day one, players have ridden alongside Henry on this journey, and Warhorse Studios looks forward to celebrating with fans throughout the summer at events, concerts, and community gatherings."

Oh, and just in case that community's attention was starting to wander, it reminds us that "Warhorse Studios looks to the future with two newly announced open-world RPGs—including a new Kingdom Come adventure and a journey into Middle-earth."

If you don't remember, Warhorse revealed that it was working on something new and Kingdom Come-branded last month, and also announced a new "open world Middle-earth RPG". That's all the info we have so far, but you can consider me very eager to hear more. I want to beat Feanor at Farkle so hard he declares a blutrache that lasts for 6,000 years. Then I'll utilise my high Thief skill to steal his big stupid gems, too.

"We can't back out now!" Onimusha: Way of the Sword developer laughs off concerns around 2026's packed September release window

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is one of many, many games due to launch in the September/October 2026 period in 2026. As developers and publishers flee as far away from GTA 6 black hole as they possibly can, the resultant squeeze in the earlier (or later) months is resulting in a veritable feast of triple-A and indie games on the horizon.

After a short wait, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is almost here. Its summer release date might feel strange looking at other recent entries in the series, but we all know the latter part of 2026 is abnormally busy. Plus... a pirate game is a perfect fit for early July, when you think about it.
