Bungie admit to Destiny 2 having an audience problem, as they try to figure out how to not make a "dead live game"

It is not exactly a secret that, in recent years, Destiny 2 hasn't been doing so hot. Frequenters of the pseudo-MMO have found certain expansions and updates to be disappointing, and for a live service game a few too many disappointments can be devastating. Now, in a new interview, the game's director Tyson Green has acknowledged how the game is struggling to bring in a new audience, and discussed the difficulties that come with that.

Dark Age of Camelot invites players to enjoy the Harvest Celebration

The leaves have changed and fallen, and even in the Dark Age of Camelot it’s time to enjoy a big warm meal with family and friends. Maybe it’s also time to enjoy a farmer’s market? Both sound nice, so it’s a good thing that the aforementioned game is offering players the chance to take part in […]

Arc Raiders Is Discounted On PC Until December 1

We've seen a bunch of highly anticipated shooters hit the market over the past few months, and while Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 might be the heavy hitters, extraction shooter Arc Raiders is earning just as much praise. It's currently one of the best-selling and most played games on Steam--and ahead of Black Friday, you can add it to your collection for just $34.39 (was $40). The deal is part of Fanatical's Black Friday sale, which runs until December 1. You'll also get to spin the Black Friday Sale Wheel for spending over $15, which gets you everything from discount coupons to free games.

Our Arc Raiders review gave it a resounding 9/10, thanks to its engaging gunplay, unique world design, and challenging endgame content. "Arc Raiders is an extraction shooter, which means there are technically several popular games like it, but I've never played a game in the genre that's as unpredictable, thrilling, and--perhaps most surprising of all--hopeful," wrote critic Mark Delaney. "We can all kill each other in Arc Raiders. The fact that most of us are choosing instead to lend a helping hand, if not a sign that humanity will be all right in the real world, at the very least makes for one of the best multiplayer games I've ever played."

Arc Raiders isn't the only great shooter on sale at Fanatical. Thanks to the retailer's Black Friday sale, you can pick up another extraction shooter, Escape from Tarkov, for $37.49 (was $50), which offers a similar PvPvE experience, though it's not quite as beginner-friendly as Arc Raiders. And if you're after a more cooperative experience without the threat of other players, check out Helldivers 2, which continues to see big updates more than a year after release. These deals are just some of the PC gaming discounts available in Fanatical's Black Friday event, so be sure to check out the full sale for even more price cuts. And for even more discounts on video games, tech, Blu-ray, and beyond, be sure to check out GameSpot's Black Friday Deals Hub.

Ubisoft staff up for "captivating" Beyond Good & Evil 2 but we both know they're just going to hurt us again

I'm distressed to report that Ubisoft are still making Beyond Good and Evil 2, which used to be the follow-up to a great open world Zelda-like game, but has evolved over 17 years of chaotic development into the concept of infinity.

Yes, Arc Raiders servers are down

Uh oh, Arc Raiders servers are down again. Reports of outages with the extraction shooter began around 10AM PST and seem to be persisting over an hour later. I just tried to log in and hit a "queue" for the first time since launch day, suggesting a lot people are trying to login at the same time (likely because they were booted out).

Embark has yet to comment on the outage, but this wouldn't be the first time. Arc Raiders has gone down a few times over the last few weeks, but thankfully, the disruptions tend to clear up quickly. We'll update this article when we know more.

While we wait, I recommend killing some time by checking out a handful of Arc Raiders tips our own Rory Norris has recently published, including a guide to this week's Trials, a breakdown of weapon attachments, and a tip about moving while downed.
