Dune Awakening adds five new Landsraad missions and nerfs ornithopter joyride cheesing in today’s patch

It’s patch day over in Dune Awakening, as what Funcom is calling a “large patch” has arrived. The major additions in the update are the new Landsraad missions – five of them, in fact, distributed across Hagga Basin and Smuggler’s Run. “• Convergence – Triangulate landmarks across Hagga Basin to uncover a long lost Fremen […]

Project Gorgon’s June update delivered a major Statehelm dungeon and two new skills

If you’ve been watching Project Gorgon’s Discord channel over the past couple of weeks, you knew Elder Game was working on a major update that was delayed over a technical issue, but as of this week, it’s finally here. “This is a big one,” the devs say in the (intentionally) vague and incomplete patch notes. GTA 6 is a 'singleplayer experience', leaving me to question what's going on with GTA Online

Rockstar is known for being very weird with its marketing and releases, telling us as little as feasibly possible. It can afford to, I suppose. We're all gonna be tuned in and coughing up the cash for GTA 6 anyhow—and what a lot of cash it is.

While GTA 6 is launching on November 6, 2026, Rockstar has confirmed it's a "singleplayer experience". That leaves the elephant in the room—it's money-printing GTA Online mode—up in the air. In fact, it's not mentioned what's happening with GTAO whatsoever.

Given how popular and lucrative it is for the studio, I think we've all assumed that a GTA 6 Online is happening, though, despite the developer's radio silence. Plus, a "top secret" feature for 32-player online lobbies was revealed in court documents, which all but confirms some kind of update is coming.

That said, it's not out of the ordinary for Rockstar to launch its multiplayer modes after the singleplayer game. Cast your mind back 13 years, and you'll recall that GTA Online was originally released two weeks after GTA 5. Likewise, Red Dead Online was in early access for players who owned Red Dead Redemption 2 almost a month later.

My big question is what exactly does it look like? Rockstar could borrow Activision's approach to Call of Duty Warzone and replace GTA Online with a revamped version. Is it free to play? Is it available standalone, like Red Dead Online now is? What if they slapped a '2' on the end and called it a sequel?

Potentially, it could even have a subscription service—GTA 6 is expensive, and Rockstar is very much pushing players towards the Ultimate Edition to squeeze some extra profit. If you pre-order GTA 6, you'll get a free month of GTA+, a membership program that gives you a bunch of freebies in GTA Online. I wouldn't be surprised to see this subscription expanded with GTA 6. With no word on what's next for GTA Online, the door's wide open.

All we know for certain is that GTA 6 doesn't launch with any inherent online components. That's not to say that there won't be a new GTA Online thing at the same time, or after launch, however.

A new R-rated Batman movie trilogy begins this year

Batman is one of the most ubiquitous superheroes in cinema, but from Tim Burton’s Batmanin 1989 to Matt Reeves’ The Batman in 2022, his films are almost always PG-13. Batman doesn’t kill, and when his villains do, the gore has been minimized to keep stories of the Dark Knight from getting too dark. But a new trilogy coming soon is changing that, earning an R rating with some really messy deaths.

Riot walks back putting League of Legends' controversial 'last hit indicators' into ranked play, for now

It's been a whirlwind few hours for League of Legends, with Riot Games announcing that its most controversial player assist tool was about to be implemented in ranked play, only for them to rapidly reverse the decision in response to public outcry. The 'last hit indicator' system, which clearly marks when minions are within lethal damage range for your champion, has been available in swiftplay and co-op versus AI for several months, but its implementation into the more competitive side of LoL has sparked heated debate, and with good reason.

DC producer confirms Supergirl "ends a particular way" leading to Man of Tomorrow, and Milly Alcock is "a big part of" the project after that

DC fans won't have to wait too long to see Milly Alcock after Supergirl, as DC producer Lars P. Winther says she will play a big role in the next DCU film after Man of Tomorrow.

"So we have Man of Tomorrow, and we already know what the next movie’s going to be after that, and she’s a big part of that," said Wither to The Hollywood Reporter.

Winther didn't confirm which project is due to be released after the Superman sequel. However, DC boss James Gunn has already announced a stack of DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters movies that are yet to be dated, including The Brave and the Bold, Swamp Thing, The Authority, and a Wonder Woman feature. Who knows, maybe we will get a superwoman squad, and Alcock can help Diana Prince take down a DC comic book villain.

Before then, Alcock will return in Man of Tomorrow, and it sounds as though the new Supergirl movie somehow sets it up. "Man of Tomorrow, which is what we’re shooting now, [Alcock] is in that movie," confirmed Winther. "Without giving too much away, this movie ends a particular way, and you see where she’s going to end up. She’s done her wild ways, and now she’s going to try to get back in with her cousin and be more on Earth again. That’s where she is in Man of Tomorrow. It’s all more Earth-based."

Based on the Woman of Tomorrow comic book series, Supergirl finds Kara Zor-El in a rut, coping with her dark past by partying every night in space, with her only friend being her dog Kyrpto. However, when tragedy strikes too close to home, she must join forces with an unlikely companion for an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice. The movie also stars Jason Momoa as Lobo, Eve Ridley as Ruthye, and Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem.

The new movie includes a cameo from Superman star David Corenswet, but Supergirl director Craig Gillespie confirmed that "It is a standalone film." Winther added, "We’re trying to build our DCU and that Superman family… We are not just trying to do what the previous regime did and dig in about the same characters. We are trying to get some of the newer characters in. So we want to base it with Superman and felt that [Kara] was the next best character to build that story."

After Supergirl, the next DCU movie to hit screens will be Clayface in September 2026, followed by Man of Tomorrow in summer 2027.

Supergirl hits cinemas on June 26 in the US and on June 25 in the UK. For more, check out our guide on how to watch DC movies in order, and keep up with upcoming DC movies and shows.
