Obsession star Inde Navarrette is "a big fan" of Call of Duty and wants a role in Taylor Sheridan's movie

Obsession star Inde Navarrette wants to have a role in the Call of Duty movie.

Navarrette formerly streamed games on Twitch (and can be found streaming today, too) and is a fan of the Call of Duty franchise, so, when Collider asked what it would take for her to join the film, unsurprisingly she sounded very keen.

"Nothing. It's a phone call. It's a text," she told the publication. "If they call me, they're like, 'There's a car outside. You gotta go.' Definitely. I'm a big fan. I'm really excited to see what they do. As a fan, I would be excited. I'm a big fan. Yeah. Very excited."

The movie hails from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, who will co-write and produce, and Peter Berg, who will co-write and direct.

"If you really look at the missions and the storylines and the characters like Captain Price, Soap, Ghost, and Alex, these are complicated humans. These are not – and no disrespect – cartoon characters or comic books," Berg said recently of the film. "These are very nuanced storylines; there's a real soul to the Modern Warfare universe."

Navarrette, meanwhile, has been cast as Rogue in Marvel's X-Men movie, as revealed at this year's D23. The rest of the cast includes the likes of Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister, and Christopher Abbott as Professor X.

"Kevin [Feige] just wants to take a big swing and start anew, not be beholden to any of the movies that have come before." Lee Sung Jin told Deadline.

The Call of Duty movie is arriving on June 30, 2028. While you wait, check out our guide to all the most exciting upcoming video game adaptations.

I have jumped in WoW: Forever's beta 7738 times, roughly 135 jumps an hour, and if you'd like to find out if you beat me there's a stat tracker

World of Warcraft: Forever's beta is now closed, meaning I can no longer appreciate the pretty god rays in Ashenvale. To soothe this yawning ache in my soul, however, Blizzard has released a fun little stats tracker to tide me over with the knowledge that I apparently jump in MMOs way more than I thought I did.

If you played the beta and sign in, you'll be given a full list of fun little stats including your hours played, where you spent the most time, what killed you the most and, crucially, how often you jumped.

I jumped 7,738 times. And considering I played the beta for 57 hours (putting me in the 69th percentile—nice), that means I averaged around 135 jumps an hour, which is… honestly a lot more than I thought I'd jumped. Now of course, jumping is a time-honoured tradition. Even in a game with a /wave emote, simply jumping around someone to acknowledge that you see them is a far more efficient means of communication.

It also makes you go faster when you're running somewhere. This is absolutely correct and not at all unsubstantiated, don't look it up.

The enemy that killed me the most was the Silithid Swarmer in the southern barrens, which I'm going to chalk down to those bastards being a touch overtuned rather than any skill failing on my part (I do not know why the minions it summons have so much health). I'm also heartbroken to find out that I spent the lion's share of my time in The Barrens, presumably killing lions. If you know anything about the absurdity (and sometimes obscenity) that takes place in Barrens Chat, you'll know why this news upsets me.

Anyway, I'll be able to jump a lot more when Forever goes live come November 4, where I'll be able to relive the experience of fighting 900 other players for a cactus apple on launch day once more. Though if my uncertainties about how its endgame's gonna shake out are true, I'll be thankful for the slower pace.

Best MMOs: Most massive
Best strategy games: Number crunching
Best open world games: Unlimited exploration
Best survival games: Live craft love
Best horror games: Fight or flight
