Blades in the Dark sequel Blades '68 takes inspiration from Deathloop and Soylent Green

John Harper’s hit tabletop role-playing game Blades in the Dark focuses on gangs fighting for control of Duskvol, a haunted city inspired by Victorian London with splashes of Prague and Venice. Deathmatch Islanddesigner Tim Denee worked with Harper to bring the game’s world 100 years in the future for Blades ‘68, which launched a BackerKit campaign on Feb. 10. The new game will let players fight for change as radicals, intellectuals, or rogue robots.

Microsoft Is Considering A Big Game Pass Change - Report

A report claims that Microsoft could merge Xbox Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass together.

Tom Warren of The Verge reported that Microsoft was considering such a move. Xbox Game Pass Premium is the $15/month version of Game Pass that comes with access to a library of 200+ games, but not day-one new releases. PC Game Pass, meanwhile, costs $16.50/month and includes access to "hundreds" of PC games, as well as new games on day one. The Verge's report didn't have any word on what the price of a hypothetically merged subscription would be, or any other features.

The site also reported that other upcoming changes to Game Pass in the future could be more third-party services bundled in. Some of these today include EA Play, Fortnite Crew, and Ubisoft+ Classics for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The report also claimed that the rumored free Xbox Cloud Gaming offering (in exchange for ads) will not be its own separate Game Pass tier.

Peter Molyneux's Masters of Albion feels like the long-overdue rebirth of god games

I have very fond memories of Black and White. I don't think I was even ten years old when I first got hold of it, but I remember owning the white cover instead of the black one: an intentional choice because I was, of course, a good kid. But then, I became a god. Initially, I chose to be the Cow, a generally benevolent creature that's somewhat of an all-rounder. But I got tired of being the good guy: tired of my Cow consistently eating everything when I wasn't looking. No, I wanted to be something mighty: something with bite. I transitioned into my #TigerEra, embracing the chaos and trading out my brains for pure brawn. Did I have a clue what I was doing? Absolutely not. But God (or Cow) knows I was having fun.

While Playground's Fable looks a little "antiseptic," series creator Peter Molyneux will be "one of the first people to play it"

Just before my interview with Peter Molyneux, I told my mom that I was chatting to 'the man who made Fable.' "Oh, is that the one where you did the little Cossack Dance?!" she asked, referring to Fable 2. "You loved that game!" While I've built my career on titles like Diablo, League of Legends, and Vampire: The Masquerade, Fable is, perhaps, the series I played most as a child. I loved its zany energy: its stiff-upper-lip comedy, and vibrant, ye olde English world. I spent many a Friday night playing poker at the Temple of Shadows (in my imagination, anyway), and chickens were never safe when I was in town. The games amplified my already undying love for fantasy, and are the source of so many of my happiest memories. Speaking to Molyneux, then, is something childhood me could only have dreamed of.
