New Game Decrepit Blends Souls-Like Combat With Old-School Dungeon-Crawling

Decrepit, a new dark fantasy game, has been unveiled at The Game Awards. Inspired by souls-like games, the first-person dungeon-crawler doesn't have a final release date yet, but it is in development for PC and is aiming to launch in 2026.

Like several other souls-likes, Decrepit is built around stamina-based combat. Developer Jämmerdal Games says players will need to master the space around them to overcome the monsters that stand in their way, and while hidden secrets can provide permanent bonuses, they are no substitute for knowledge and the perfect execution of moves. Each weapon in Decrepit has distinct attack patterns, and spells can be used to deal heavy damage when a window of opportunity opens up.

Games like Hexen and Eye of the Beholder are some of the influences cited by the developer, but with a modern souls-like inspiration at its core, you'll need to study enemy attack patterns and strike quickly at the right time. Every death drags you back to the starting dungeons--and stripped of all equipment--so knowledge truly is power in this game. Players can choose from several equipment-based classes--Mage, Warrior, Rogue, or Shaman--and finding the right gear to match your archetype will unlock set bonuses and unique abilities.

Inspired by classic tabletop RPGs, Solasta 2 finally has a launch date, and an awfully familiar cast

If you're someone who keeps up with my writing, you'll know that I am very much in my #D&Dera. Fueled by Brian Murphy's Not Another D&D Podcast, Critical Role Campaign 4, and a whole lot of coffee, I sometimes wonder where my poetry-slinging Aasimar bard ends and I begin. Having eventually completed the mighty Baldur's Gate 3 earlier this year, I've been craving another Forgotten Realms adventure. Troika's Temple of Elemental Evil remaster has certainly piqued my interest (I'm a Bloodlines savant), but Solasta 2 is the game I've really got my eyes on - and it finally has a release date.

Capcom's upcoming action-adventure game Pragmata is officially set to launch on April 24, 2026, there's a surprise demo coming at some point later today - and we're not done yet - a Switch 2 version has been announced.

All of this went down at The Game Awards 2025, where we got a new trailer for the third-person sci-fi adventure, which puts players in control of both spacefarer Hugh and his robot companion, Diana. The new trailer showcases the apparent father-daughter relationship between the two before the action kicks off and we catch a few glimpses at how Hugh and Diana work together to combat enemy AI. It's definitely worth a watch, so go ahead and do that:

Deus Ex Remastered Delayed To "Better Meet Fan Expectations"

Developer Aspyr Media announced that Deus Ex Remastered has been delayed (seemingly indefinitely) so the team can "deliver the best possible experience."

Aspyr delivered the news on X, posting that, alongside a commitment to delivering the best possible experience, the team wants to meet the expectations of its fanbase.

As such, the game has been pushed back from its initial February 5, 2026 release date. More updates will be shared "when the time comes," Aspyr said. By delaying the game, the studio is also refunding all preorders while thanking fans for their continued patience and support.
